چکیده

With the development of ultra-high-resolution display devices, the visual perception of fine texture details is becoming increasingly important. Traditional image upsampling methods suffer from either loss of highfrequency texture details or very high time cost. In this paper, we propose an iterative projection reconstruction (IPR) method for fast and efficient image upsampling. The proposed method refines high-frequency texture details with an iterative projection process, and utilizes the pre-computed projection matrix to accelerate the example-based image reconstruction. As a result, the proposed method can reproduce fine texture details with low time cost. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms some state-of-the-art methods.

Fast System Matrix Calculation in CT Iterative Reconstruction

Introduction: Iterative reconstruction techniques provide better image quality and have the potential for reconstructions with lower imaging dose than classical methods in computed tomography (CT). However, the computational speed is major concern for these iterative techniques. The system matrix calculation during the forward- and back projection is one of the most time- cons...

A model based, anatomy dependent method for ultra-fast creation of primary SPECT projections

Introduction: Monte Carlo (MC) is the most common method for simulating virtual SPECT projections. It is useful for optimizing procedures, evaluating correction algorithms and more recently image reconstruction as a forward projector in iterative algorithms; however, the main drawback of MC is its long run time. We introduced a model based method considering the eff...

Artifact reduction techniques in Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) imaging modality

Introduction: Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) was introduced and became more common based on its low cost, fast image procedure rate and low radiation dose compared to CT. This imaging modality improved diagnostic and treatment-planning procedures by providing three-dimensional information with greatly reduced level of radiation dose compared to 2D dental imaging modalitie...

Fourier-Based Forward and Back-Projectors for Iterative Image Reconstruction

Iterative image reconstruction algorithms play an increasingly important role in modern tomographic systems, especially in emission tomography. With the fast increase of the sizes of the tomographic data, reduction of the computation demands of the reconstruction algorithms is of great importance. Fourier-based forward and back-projection methods have the potential to considerably reduce the co...
